Smoothies : Peach, Tangerines And Ginger Smoothie Treat!

On a hot summer day after being out in the sun for long, nothing sounds more refreshing than a home made smoothie. I prefer smoothies over milkshakes as I can safely control the ingredients and cut down on the calories as far as possible. Having fresh fruit all the time, I love to innovate and create new flavors and combinations.

Here is my refreshing Peach and Ginger with Tangerines Smoothie treat!



Ingredients :
2 peaches sliced
2 tangerines peeled
1/4 cup of low fat milk
2 tsps of brown sugar
1 tsp of honey
1 inch of fresh ginger root chopped
4-5 almonds unsalted
3 pitted dates 
3 cubes of ice


Method : Toss all the ingredients into a blender and blend to smoothie consistency. Add 3 cubes of ice and whip to get a frothy texture like smoothie. Adjust sweetness accordingly and serve immediately.
