The Power Of Love
Valentine’s Day is around the corner and most of us are conjecturing about love and its facets in our lives. Many of us may be speculating if we are truly loved, some of us hurriedly engaged in believing that we are on the path of finding it. Whatever is our state of love, the essence of it lies in the special feeling of being desired.
The
life and love we create is most definitely the life and love we live. Feeling loved transforms us as bearers of good.
Wherever we go we begin to create an atmosphere of goodness around us, and inadvertently
spread a sense of well-being to others. Love pushes us to do good things for
ourselves without thinking excessively about it, and ultimately induces in our
minds good thoughts about ourselves. In the process the impact love has on us constructs
positive emotions and yields positive outcomes because we begin connecting to
our innate goodness. And from that place we will bring it to others.
The only thing we never get enough of is love; and the only thing we never give enough of is love ~Henry Miller
Although
love is inherently free, it cannot be restrained, bought or sold. It is a
feeling of immense proportions that is sensed deep within. One of the best feelings of being in
love is the magnitude of its magic. Emotions are contagious. People catch them
from others. So, when your love is acting lovingly toward you, it’s natural for
you to feel joyous and terrific.
The
feeling of love is also electric. It draws us to its magic and imbibes in us
the power to spread the charm. Love is always expressed in actions but felt in
the heart. Expressing love is important. To feel it deep within, it is
important to understand the expression of its actions towards us. Like a force
of nature, it captivates our senses and entices our hearts. We cannot command
love, just invite it but never dictate it.
When
we are loved, we tend to feel it spontaneously around us. But the question is how
does it work? Is there an extrasensory perception in the heart that is able to
read the feelings in another person’s heart?
Love
is really not that fragile or supernatural. On the contrary, it’s pretty
practical and down-to-earth. Our hearts take cues from our senses. Everything
we see, hear, taste, touch or smell teaches us about our universe. We don’t
need to contemplate or ask questions. Our sensory organs report to our brains,
and our brains interpret the data and send the report to our hearts. So, if we
see a loving smile, hear loving words, or feel a loving touch, the brain
processes this information and concludes that indeed we are the fortunate carriers
of love.
We
live in a cynical world, where purity is hard to strive for. There are so many
of us deprived of being loved. Consider yourself fortunate to find love, to
love yourself and to spread that love to others. The difference it can make in
this distrustful world is enormous. The effect it can bring to the ones around
is worth striving for.
And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make ~ Paul McCartney
